Data Analyst

About the Role

We're working with a financial services organisation that is investing heavily in its data capabilities and building a modern, cloud-based data platform.

They are looking for a Data Analyst with an interest in data engineering to join the team and play a key role in shaping how data is structured, transformed, and used across the business.

This position offers the opportunity to work across the full data lifecycle, from pipeline development and data modelling through to visualisation and insight generation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Building and maintaining data pipelines and workflows using SQL and cloud tools
• Supporting the development of a cloud data warehouse
• Designing and optimising data models for analytics and reporting
• Creating dashboards and reports using Power BI and/or Sigma
• Transforming and analysing datasets to deliver actionable insights
• Enabling self-serve analytics across the business
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver data solutions

What We're Looking For

• Around 2-3 years of experience in a data-focused role (e.g. Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer)
• Strong SQL skills for data transformation and analysis
• Experience with Power BI and/or Sigma
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure)
• Understanding of data modelling and data warehousing principles
• A collaborative approach and ability to communicate effectively with different teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with dbt or similar tools
• Exposure to Python for data processing
• Familiarity with version control (e.g. Git)
• Experience working in regulated or financial environments
