DV Cleared DevOps Engineer

Location: Worcester (Site based)

Duration: 6 month initial contract

Rate: £82ph LTD (Outside IR35)

Role details:
Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a DV Cleared Software / DevOps Engineer for an initial 6-month contract, based on-site in Worcester.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborating with coworkers to conceptualise, develop, and release software.
• Conducting quality assurance to ensure that the software meets prescribed guidelines.
• Rolling out fixes and upgrades to software, as needed.
• Securing software to prevent security breaches and other vulnerabilities.
• Collecting and reviewing customer feedback to enhance user experience.
• Suggesting alterations to workflow in order to improve efficiency and success.
• Pitching ideas for projects based on gaps in the market and technological advancements.

Job Requirements:

• Active MOD DV Clearance.
• Strong proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab CI, Terraform, Ansible, Helm Charts, Python, PowerShell, and REST APIs.
• Experience with Kubernetes cluster build and application delivery.
• Application experience with Apache NiFi, Elastic ECK, and Artifactory.
• Knowledge of secret management tools, particularly Hashicorp Vault.
• Proficiency in operating systems, specifically Redhat and Windows.
• Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field.
• Prior experience at all phases of the software product life cycle, from conception to extinction.
• Experience using an array of automation tools.
• Familiarity with software security methods.
• Demonstrated experience using a wide variety of coding languages.
• Top-notch decision-making and collaborative abilities.
• Customer-oriented with the ability to receive and use constructive criticism.
