Management Accountant, Permanent, Stoke-on-Trent, £40-45,000 DOE

We’re recruiting on behalf of a successful organisation in Stoke-on-Trent that is looking to welcome a talented Management Accountant into their friendly, supportive and experienced finance team. Key Responsibilities include…

• Preparing accurate and insightful management accounts
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
• Maintaining accounting systems and strengthening financial controls
• Producing financial reports to support business decision-making
• Preparing and monitoring budgets
• Forecasting and financial modelling
• Supporting the preparation of year-end accounts
• Completing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with taxation requirements
• Performing financial reconciliations and balance sheet management
• Supporting internal and external audit processes
• Analysing financial data to identify trends and opportunities
• Continuously developing and improving financial controls and processes

We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and working as part of a collaborative team. Due to the level of responsibility in this role you will need to have 5 years of proven experience, be CIMA or ACCA qualified, have a complex working knowledge of MS Excel and me confident in all aspects of the responsibilities noted above. Alongside proven experience you’ll need to be an exceptional communicator, be able to confidently present financial information and reports around the organisation, be able to work to strict deadlines and uphold to upmost level of compliance and confidentiality.  Depending on experience our client is offering a salary of £40-45,000, alongside an enhanced holiday entitlement, a competitive pension, free on-site parking and welcoming modern offices.
