Our client is a specialist manufacturer of bespoke machinery and equipment that is used across multiple industry sectors globally. They are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their existing team. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will focus on managing design projects from initial concept to delivery, gathering technical specifications and creating detailed 2D & 3D designs using CAD software.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities;

–          Create detailed 2D & 3D designs of technical machinery and equipment using CAD software.

–          Manage design projects from initial concept through to delivery.

–          Review and update legacy designs when required.

–          Understand the client’s needs and create custom mechanical solutions that would work best for the team.

–          Provide technical support to the Applications Team and Commissioning Teams.

Mechanical Design Engineer Requirements:

–          Previous experience working in a Design Engineer or equivalent position.

–          Experienced in managing design projects from initial concept through to delivery.

–          Proven experience in creating detailed designs using CAD packages such as SolidWorks.

–          Knowledge of engineering analysis tools such as ANSYS would be beneficial.

–          Much has experience in creating design projects that involve moving parts.

–          Must be a team player.
