Requirements:
- Prior Experience: Background working with children or young people (aged 11-16) as a Support Worker, TA, Tutor, Youth Worker, Care Worker, or similar setting.
- Passion: A genuine desire to guide and mentor secondary school students.
- Skills: Strong communication, active listening, and strong classroom management skills.
- An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
Key Duties:
- Provide 1-on-1 and small-group academic support to high school students (KS3 & KS4).
- Partner with subject teachers to keep lessons structured, focused, and on track.
- Encourage positive behaviour, attendance, and active participation in class.
- Assist teenagers with revision, coursework, and developing key study habits.
- Help adapt learning materials and classroom resources to fit individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and give valuable feedback to classroom teachers.
