Manufacturing Engineer - Aerospace

Our client, a renowned player in the aerospace industry, is currently seeking skilled Manufacturing Engineer's to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working in the Assembly and Test area, requiring a comprehensive understanding of the manufacturing processes and a good grasp of LAIRS (Layered Assembly Instructions and Requirements) and FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) processes.

Contract Details:

• Contract length: until end Feb 2027
• Multiple opportunities available
• Payment term: PAYE only
• Rates: DOE
• Accural or advanced holiday payment options
• Standard 37hrs per week
• Monday to Friday, with early finish Fridays
• Onsite full -time

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and coordinating manufacturing processes within the Assembly and Test areas
• Implementing and maintaining LAIRS and FAIRs processes
• Ensuring compliance with aerospace industry standards and regulations
• Identifying and resolving production-related issues
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing operations
• Creating and updating manufacturing documentation and work instructions
• Conducting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency
• Providing technical support and guidance to the production team

Job Requirements:

• Experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly within the aerospace sector
• Understanding of LAIRS and FAIRs processes
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
• Familiarity with industry standards and compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
