About the role
My Client is recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Water Sector
As a Senior Electrical Engineer you will contribute to projects that significantly impact our environment and communities. Working primarily in the UK water market, we provide the feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning services needed to keep water flowing and wastewater treated. You'll work on projects that make a real difference to our environment and our communities by enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of water and wastewater treatment systems.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the electrical functions throughout the lifecycle of various projects. From concept design to commissioning, you will ensure that all electrical aspects are meticulously considered and integrated.
The role of a Senior Electrical Engineer includes:
- Preparing and reviewing electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment on our client's site. You will be working with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, Cabling, Instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA. Systems will be both new latest technology and existing legacy installations.
- Producing and reviewing technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities, reviewing supplier tender bids and technical submissions.
- Supervising and mentoring our Graduates and Engineers assisting them to develop their knowledge and skills.
- Understanding, applying and contributing to design standards with a good knowledge of Client and WIMES standards.
- Positively engaging with the client, building relationships and supporting them to achieve their aims.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Chartered or incorporated member of professional institution
- Experience of successfully delivering high quality outputs in accordance with design, quality and safety standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Methodical approach to problem solving
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across your operational region
