About the Role: When a vulnerable young person has experienced trauma, they do not need supervision-they need a steady anchor. We are seeking compassionate Support Workers in Gateshead to step into a young person's world, understand the trauma behind complex behaviours, and help build a safer, brighter future.
Transferable Roles: Ideal for candidates with experience as a Children's Support Worker or in roles such as: Youth Worker, Residential Childcare Worker, Therapeutic Support Worker, Family Support Worker, or Youth Mentor.
How You Will Make a Difference:
Build Trust: Engage vulnerable children using creative, trauma-informed techniques.
Provide Safety: Apply calm de-escalation skills in high-pressure situations.
Daily Support: Assist with education, hobbies, routines, and life skills.
Advocacy: Keep precise daily records to shape long-term therapeutic care plans.
What You'll Bring:
Paid UK care experience (preferably in children's residential or youth settings).
A calm, resilient, and non-judgemental approach.
Full UK driving licence is highly desirable for local activities.
