Security Assurance Consultant – Bristol or London, UK

• Up to £640 per day, inside IR35
• Hybrid working, approximately 1 day onsite per week in Bristol, Bath or London
• 8-month contract duration
• Active SC clearance required

Our client is a leading technology consultancy delivering complex digital transformation programmes across the UK Defence sector. Working alongside senior stakeholders, technical specialists and delivery teams, they are helping shape secure digital services used by military personnel across the UK.

Due to continued programme growth, they are looking for an experienced Security Assurance Consultant to join the team.

The Security Assurance Consultant Role

You will lead Security Assurance activities across several secure digital products, ensuring they are Secure by Design and compliant with MOD security standards throughout the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include:

• Driving Secure by Design activities and security assurance documentation
• Supporting JSP 453 compliance and assurance approvals
• Managing security risks, governance activities and audit support
• Working closely with Delivery Managers, Architects and MOD stakeholders
• Supporting Agile delivery teams with security requirements and best practice

Security Assurance Consultant Essential Skills

• Previous experience as a Security Assurance Consultant, Security Assurance Coordinator or Security Manager
• Strong MOD delivery experience, including Secure by Design, JSP 453 and JSP 440
• Excellent stakeholder management and client facing communication skills
• Experience managing security risks, issues and assurance activities
• Familiarity with Agile delivery and tools such as Jira and Confluence
• Experience working across complex Defence or Government digital programmes
