Lisburn, County Antrim Hatched Recruitment Group Caretaker (Temporary) - Lisburn Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council Lisburn | £13.69 per hour | 37 hours per week | Temporary Ongoing Hatched Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Caretaker on behalf of Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced caretaker or facilities operative to join the Community Facilities & Resources Team. The Role: You will be responsible for ensuring council premises are maintained to a high standard, supporting building users, carrying out general caretaking duties, and ensuring the facility is safe, clean and ready for use. Key Duties Include: Carrying out general caretaking and basic maintenance tasks Setting up and dismantling equipment for events and room bookings Completing cleaning duties across the facility, including toilets, kitchens and communal areas Acting as a key holder and supporting building security Carrying out health & safety checks and reporting any issues Maintaining outdoor areas, including car parks and general surroundings Providing excellent customer service to facility users and members of the public Essential Criteria: Previous caretaking, facilities, cleaning or maintenance experience Experience in areas such as cleaning, minor repairs, security, equipment setup or similar Knowledge of health & safety procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence and access to transport desirable Working Hours: 37 hours per week Early and late shifts on alternate weeks Contract Details: Location: 50 Railway Street, Lisburn Start Date: 3rd August 2026 Pay Rate: £13.69 per hour If you have the experience and skills required for this role, we would love to hear from you
