Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? We are currently seeking a caring and enthusiastic KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Barnsley (S36) area.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of a child, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The RoleAs a KS2 SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEND.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement individual support strategies.
• Help create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
• Support pupils with their learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and participation within the classroom.

The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for someone who:

• Has previous experience working with children with SEND in a school or similar setting.
• Is patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Has strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Can adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of pupils.
• Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable).
