Join Halton Borough Council’s Care Homes as a General Assistant and help create a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our residents. In this rewarding role, you will support daily operations by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, assisting with meal preparation and laundry tasks, and helping residents with simple personal care to promote their independence. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team committed to delivering quality care and upholding the Council’s values. If you are reliable, caring, and able to work flexibly—including weekends and additional shifts—we’d love to hear from you.
Hours: 20 hours per week. To be worked on a rota basis over 7 days
Location: Millbrow care home
Your Contributions:
You will have experience in:
- Domestic work
- Health and safety awareness
- Good communication skills
- Understanding the needs of older people
- Working weekends and bank holidays
- Working additional shifts when required
- You will be able to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a valid medical exemption
