About the role
Assistant Chef
Our Assistant Chef will support the Chef Manager, with food preparation, completion of relevant paperwork and service to our students, deputising in the Chef Manager’s absence.
Working hours will be 8.00am to 2.00 pm, with an unpaid 30-minute break . Part time work over 40 weeks (term time plus inset days and training/cleaning days).
Qualifications and Experience
It would be desirable for you to:
have experience of working in an education setting.
have a good understanding of Health and Safety within your work environment (training will be provided)
Knowledge of Government Nutritional Standards and Allergy Awareness.
Be trained to NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or equivalent or be willing to work towards this.
Hold an up-to-date level 2 Food Safety Certificate (training will be provided).
Be familiar with completing Risk assessments, although not essential.
