Breakfast Club Assistant

We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic and caring Breakfast Club Assistants to support the expansion of our new DfE-funded Free Breakfast Club provision from September 2026. The role will involve supervising and supporting children in a safe, welcoming and engaging environment before the start of the school day. The duties align with the responsibilities of a Before School Club Assistant, including supervising pupils, supporting play activities, ensuring children's safety and wellbeing, and helping with the breakfast provision.

• Post: Breakfast Club Assistant (2 Posts)
• Contract: Fixed Term for 1 Year (initially)
• Hours: 2.5 hours per week
• Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:15am to 8:45am
• Start Date: September 2026

About the Role

As part of our Breakfast Club team, you will help create a positive start to the school day by:

• Supervising children attending the breakfast club.
• Supporting children in social, play and enrichment activities.
• Assisting with the serving and clearing away of breakfast.
• Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging inclusion.
• Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and happiness of all pupils.
• Helping to create a welcoming environment where children feel ready to learn.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with children and supporting their development.
• Has a caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
• Can work effectively as part of a team.
• Is reliable, punctual and organised.
• Understands the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
• May have experience of working with or caring for primary-aged children, although this is not essential.
