Atkins Search have an exciting opportunity for an Operations Manager to join the of the UK’s leading Tier 1 construction main contractors based in Nottingham.

As part of the continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take the reins in overseeing the successful delivery of multiple projects across the Midlands region. Role

As Operations Manager, you will lead and manage project teams to ensure the effective delivery of construction projects, from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, while fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Manage multiple complex, major construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule
Promote & lead the safety, health, and environmental. Ensure all works are carried out in a planned, controlled, and safe manner in accordance with statutory regulations, SHE policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
Work closely with commercial teams to ensure the control of trade subcontractor finances, final accounts and contractor and claim correspondence is appropriately actioned
Manage efficient and economical execution of JCT and NEC framework contracts, producing the maximum return and promoting on-going and future work with clients and consultants
Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and site teams, fostering professional growth and development.
Draw on your knowledge and experience to provide support, advice and guidance to the wider business from preconstruction phases through to delivery
Person

We are looking for a highly experienced and inspirational professional with a strong background in Operational Management and leadership. Key attributes include:

Tier 1 main contracting experience with major new build schemes
Excellent management and communication skills with the ability to proactively manage production teams on several live construction sites at any one time
Ability to manage direct labour and sub-contractor resource and the ability to deliver quality construction projects within budget and programme timescales in a safe environment
Possess sound commercial awareness with a commitment to health & safety and risk management
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong client and stakeholder relationships.
A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to managing risks and overcoming challenges.
Relevant qualifications in construction, project management, or a related discipline.
