Associate Director - Project Management

Overview

Atkins Search are currently recruiting for an experienced Associate Director – Project Manager to join a well-established construction consultancy based in Bristol.

This senior role offers the opportunity to take a lead position within the business, overseeing the delivery of high-profile projects across a range of sectors, whilst also supporting business development and mentoring junior colleagues.

Client

My client is a respected construction consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering project management and cost consultancy services across commercial, residential, public sector, and mixed-use developments.

With continued success and a growing pipeline of projects, they are now seeking an Associate Director to strengthen their leadership team in Bristol.

Role

Leading and delivering large-scale and complex projects from inception to completion
Acting as the key client contact and trusted advisor
Driving business development and supporting bid/tender opportunities
Chairing meetings and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
Providing leadership, mentoring, and line management to junior colleagues
Overseeing project budgets, programmes, and risk management
Supporting the strategic development of the London office and wider business
Person

Significant project management experience within a construction consultancy environment
Relevant degree-level qualification (or equivalent)
Professional chartership (MRICS, MAPM or similar) essential
Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams
Strong track record of successful project delivery across multiple sectors
Experience in business development and maintaining client relationships
Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
A strategic mindset with a proactive approach to consultancy growth
