Are you a recent graduate looking to gain valuable hands-on experience within education? Milk Education is working with welcoming and supportive Primary Schools in Tadcaster and is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join schools from September 2026.

• Graduate Teaching Assistants (SEN & Mainstream)

• Classroom Support Assistants

• Behaviour Mentors

• Academic Coaches & Intervention Tutors

• Cover Supervisors

• Graduate roles leading towards Teacher Training

These roles are ideal for graduates from a range of backgrounds, including:

English • Psychology • Criminology • Sports • Drama • Education • Humanities • Science • Maths • Youth Work • French • Sociology – and many more!

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils within the classroom.

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.

• Encourage pupils to stay focused, motivated and confident in their learning.

• Support children with additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD and SEMH.

• Use positive behaviour strategies to support pupils’ emotional regulation and wellbeing.

• Build strong, trusting relationships with children and encourage their independence.

• Support classroom organisation, preparation and learning resources.

• Monitor pupil progress, engagement and confidence.

• Work alongside teachers and support staff to create a positive learning environment.
