Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for two Warehouse Forklift Operators to join a growing storage and logistics team near Exeter.

This is a predominantly forklift driving role, with approximately 80% of your time operating Counterbalance Forklift Trucks and 20% supporting general warehouse operations. Full training will be provided on day shifts before moving onto the permanent 2:30pm-11pm shift.

Key Duties

• Operate Counterbalance Forklift Trucks to load, unload, and move goods throughout the warehouse.

• Store and retrieve pallets from racking and bulk storage areas.

• Unload shipping containers, including both ramp-loaded and loose-loaded containers.

• Record pallet movements accurately using handheld scanners and warehouse documentation.

• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders to a high standard.

• Maintain clean, safe, and organised warehouse and storage areas.

• Support stock control activities and assist with daily warehouse operations.

• Liaise with the Storage Supervisor regarding deliveries, collections, and stock movements.

Requirements

Essential

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence.

• Previous warehouse and forklift operating experience.

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

• Ability to work independently and use your own initiative.

• Physically fit and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.

• Reliable, flexible, and proactive approach to work.

Desirable

• Pivot Steer Forklift licence (training available).

• Experience working within racked and bulk storage warehouse environments.

• Experience using handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
