Atkins Search are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join the collaborative Preconstruction team of a highly respected, family-owned main contractor based in the North West.

ROLE

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within an award-winning Preconstruction team. The successful

candidate will work alongside a seasoned Bid Specialist and be supported by a wider multidisciplinary team. The role involves producing compelling, high-quality bid and tender documentation.

Ideal for a detail-focused and creative individual, this position offers the chance to make a meaningful contribution to bid success and progress within a supportive setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare Pre-qualification Questionnaires (PQQs), Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Selection Questionnaires (SQs)

Format and compile detailed bid proposals in line with client specifications

Create engaging, well-designed bid documents incorporating both written and visual elements

Produce supporting content such as printed models or large-format visuals as required

Manage documentation efficiently and meet tight submission deadlines

Attend and contribute to bid/no-bid decision meetings

Support post-bid analysis to drive continual improvement

Collaborate on the design and execution of storyboards and bid strategies

PERSON

2+ years experience in a similar role within the construction sector is essential

Sharp attention to detail and a commitment to quality

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Self-motivated with a desire to develop and grow

Familiar with document control processes and procedures

Competent in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office and ideally InDesign
