Preconstruction Manager

OVERVIEW

Our client, one of the UK’s leading Tier One main contractors, is looking to appoint a Preconstruction Manager.

As the job title suggests, this role places you at the heart of the work-winning function – the face of the business. You’ll be at the frontline, forging client relationships and securing projects that shape the future of the company.

CLIENT

Our client is an award-winning main contractor. They offer a rare level of autonomy for a Tier One contractor – empowering their teams to take ownership and deliver results.

Operating with a flat management structure, you’ll report directly to the Design Director and work hand-in-hand with the project delivery team.

ROLE

As Preconstruction Manager, your role is to lead schemes and client relationships from concept to site. You’ll lead and coordinate the Preconstruction team to develop and submit exceptional, work-winning bids.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, supported by a strong brand presence

Lead the Preconstruction team in producing compelling, coordinated, high-quality bids

Collaborate with internal specialists to tailor the best team for each submission

Support bid writing to ensure a cohesive and consistent tone throughout – a “one voice” approach

Manage the bid process through to RIBA Stage 3, before handing over to the delivery team

PERSON

A confident personality with excellent attention to detail – you’ll be client-facing and relationship-driven

Experienced Bid Manager ready to step up, or an established Preconstruction Manager seeking a new challenge within a Tier One environment

Strong communication skills – able to lead cross-functional teams and bring together internal and external stakeholders to shape compelling bids
