Deputy Manager - Children's Residential Care
Location: Poynton, Stockport
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Setting: 3 bedded EBD home (emotional behavioural difficulties)
Hours: 3 days on, 3 days off - 10am to 10pm (no sleep-ins required)

Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people's lives? Our client, a reputable provider of children's residential care, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead in a nurturing environment, supporting children with a therapeutic approach.

What you'll be doing as a Deputy Manager:

• Leading daily operations within a 3-bed children's home, currently caring for one young person, with capacity for three.
• As a Deputy Manager you will be supporting and supervising staff to deliver high-quality, child-centred care.
• Implementing therapeutic approaches tailored to individual needs.
• Ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and safeguarding policies.
• Contributing to the development of care plans and maintaining effective communication with families and professionals.
• The deputy manager is expected to assist the Registered Manager in managing the home's overall running.

What you'll bring:

• Ability to drive is essential.
• Holding Level 3 or Level 4 qualification in Children's Residential Care or actively working towards it.
• Experience within residential care for children and young people, ideally with a focus on CYP.
• A compassionate, children-centred approach with a strong understanding of therapeutic care.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work the 10am-10pm shift pattern.
