Role

As a Quantity Surveyor working in Nottinghamshire, your key responsibilities will include:

Preparing detailed Bills of Quantities, Schedules of Work and Tender Documents for construction projects in Nottingham and surrounding areas
Administering contracts, under limited supervision, including reviewing payment applications and issuing interim valuation certificates under JCT, NEC and other standard forms of contract
Demonstrating knowledge of different procurement routes: traditional, design and build, management contracting, etc.
Preparing accurate financial reports and cashflow forecasts for internal and client use
Managing change control procedures and variations for Nottinghamshire construction projects
Managing tender processes and advising on procurement strategies for cost-effective building solutions
Responsibilities

The Chartered Quantity Surveyor position in Nottingham requires you to:

Deliver professional quantity surveying services to clients across multiple sectors
Provide expert cost advice throughout project lifecycles from inception to completion
Work collaboratively with architects, engineers and contractors to ensure project delivery
Contribute to the growth and development of the quantity surveying team
Represent the company professionally at client meetings and site visits
Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in construction cost management
Person

The ideal candidate for this Quantity Surveyor role in Nottingham will have:

A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management, or a related field
Chartered status (MRICS) or commitment to achieving it within two years
Experience working for a Private Practice, Construction Consultancy, or similar organisation
Proficiency in CostX Measurement Software (preferred)
Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites across the UK
