Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale commercial and public sector construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

You’ll work alongside experienced site delivery teams, managing project performance from inception through to completion, maintaining key relationships with stakeholders throughout.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in Leicester, your responsibilities will include:

Manage the full lifecycle of projects valued up to £40m, ensuring delivery on time, to budget and to quality standards
Lead and support the construction site team to ensure accurate construction and progress tracking
Chair and attend meetings with clients, design consultants, commercial teams, and subcontractors
Maintain regular and clear communication with supply chain partners
Provide expert guidance throughout both pre-construction and construction phases
Develop and manage detailed project programmes
Monitor and enforce site health and safety standards
Oversee site logistics and ensure efficient site set-up
Ensure compliance with building regulations and contract conditions
Drive quality workmanship and adherence to specifications
Identify risks, shortfalls, and proactive solutions to maintain momentum

To succeed in this Leicester-based Project Manager position, you must have a proven track record as a Project Manager in a construction main contracting environment, delivering similar projects. You will also need to:

Demonstrable experience delivering projects between £10m and £30m
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Temporary Works certification
Strong understanding of construction legislation and building regulations
Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills
Design and commercial awareness
Organised, methodical, collaborative and professional approach
Capable of leading and managing site teams throughout construction new build projects within a positive and organised site
Ability to represent the contractor in client-facing scenarios
