ROLE

As an Assistant Project Manager in Birmingham, you’ll work across a range of sectors including:

Defence
Residential
Healthcare
Education
Commercial development
Office projects
You’ll be primarily based in Birmingham or Nottingham, supporting senior project managers to deliver complex real estate and infrastructure projects. Your role will be hands-on, spanning the full project life cycle, from initial planning to final delivery, while helping manage client expectations and key stakeholder relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working as an Assistant Project Manager for an award-winning, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with full end-to-end project delivery
Supporting the tendering and procurement process
Providing continuous project support and administration
Attending regular client and stakeholder meetings
Preparing clear, accurate progress reports
Assisting in cost control and budget management
Liaising directly with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams
PERSON

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Project Manager who can demonstrate:

Previous experience in construction, ideally within a construction consultancy environment
A relevant degree in construction, project management, or a related field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong motivation and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Excel
A sound understanding of project management in the construction industry
