Role

Due to recent progression and promotions within the business, our client now has an opportunity for an Estimator to join their team. You will have pre-construction responsibility for a various and interesting project across the Midlands, working on behalf of some of the UK's leading Tier 1 contractors.

As the role and business continues to develop, there will be opportunities to progress to Senior Estimator for driven individuals in the future.

Responsibilities

As the Estimator, you will support junior members of the team, support the business with contractual and estimation queries and ensure projects are delivered on-time and to budget.

Review and analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts
Prepare accurate cost estimates for roofing and cladding projects, including materials, labour, and overheads
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure pricing accuracy
Work closely with project managers to ensure estimates align with project scope and requirements
Conduct site visits for accurate measurements and assessments
Monitor project costs and make adjustments to ensure financial targets are met
Provide advice and support to the project team on cost-effective solutions
Keep up-to-date with industry trends and material costs to maintain competitive pricing
Person

The ideal candidate will come from a roofing and/or cladding background, or a construction main contracting background. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Estimator looking to progress their career.

Proven experience as an estimator within the roofing and cladding industry
Strong understanding of construction costs, materials, and methods
Excellent numeracy, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with industry software and estimating tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
A degree or equivalent in construction, civil engineering, or a related field (preferred)
