Role

Due to recent progression and promotions within the business, our client now has an opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join their team. You will have commercial responsibility for a various and interesting project across the Midlands, working on behalf of some of the UK's leading Tier 1 contractors.

As the role and business continues to develop, there will be opportunities to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor for driven individuals in the future.

Responsibilities

As the Quantity Surveyor, you will support junior members of the Commercial team, support the business with contractual queries and ensure projects are delivered on-time and to budget.

Update all costs across projects on a regular basis
Assist the team with commercial and contractual expertise, including contractual law
Assembling of costs for forecasting in line with site budgets
Assemble costs for forecasting in line with site budgets
Assess construction plans and prepare quantity requirements
Prepare cost reports, analyses, contracts, budgets and risk assessments
Subcontractor procurement and payment
Person

The ideal candidate will come from a roofing and/or cladding background, or a construction main contracting background. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor looking to progress their career.

Excellent man management skills
Strong and capable communicator at all levels
Contractually excellent - JCT and NEC
Understanding of contractual law
Variety of project and sector knowledge
Well networked with sub-contractors in the region
Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chains and team members
Capable of delivering projects on time and to budget
