About the role
The Opportunity
We are looking for an organised and proactive IT Asset Coordinator to join a growing IT function and take ownership of the day-to-day management of IT assets across the business.
This role will play a key part in ensuring that laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment are accurately tracked, controlled and managed throughout their lifecycle. You’ll work closely with IT teams, suppliers and business stakeholders to maintain high levels of asset governance, data accuracy and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in IT asset management who enjoys working with data, processes and stakeholders, and is keen to help drive improvements across an organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance and disposal.
- Maintain accurate asset records and ensure data integrity across asset management systems.
- Monitor asset inventories and perform regular audits and reconciliations.
- Coordinate hardware requests, asset allocations and equipment returns.
- Support governance activities, ensuring asset management processes are followed consistently.
- Produce reports and insights relating to asset usage, compliance and inventory status.
- Work with suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage stock levels and asset-related queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and data quality.
- Support IT service and operational teams with asset-related activities and projects.
About You
We’re looking for someone who can combine strong organisational skills with excellent stakeholder management and attention to detail.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in IT Asset Management or a similar asset-focused role.
- Experience managing and tracking IT equipment such as:
- Laptops
- Printers
- Monitors/screens
- Peripheral devices and related hardware
- Strong administrative and data management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records.
- Comfortable producing reports and analysing asset-related data.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using Jira or a similar service management / ticketing platform.
- Exposure to IT governance, compliance or asset control frameworks.
- Experience supporting audits and maintaining asset-related documentation.
- Knowledge of ITIL or IT Service Management environments.
