A welcoming specialist school for Deaf children in Wandsworth is seeking an enthusiastic SEN Teacher to join its highly experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity to teach in a supportive environment where communication, inclusion and pupil achievement are at the heart of everything they do.

The school supports Deaf pupils through a language-rich learning environment and is looking for a teacher with a minimum BSL Level 2 qualification who is committed to helping every child reach their full potential. The Role
  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet individual learning needs.
    • Support Deaf pupils to achieve academically, socially and emotionally.
    • Use British Sign Language (BSL) alongside other communication strategies to ensure full access to learning.
    • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, Speech and Language Therapists, Teachers of the Deaf and external professionals.
    • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
    • Create a positive, inclusive classroom where pupils feel confident and valued.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    • Minimum BSL Level 2 qualification (essential).
    • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, ideally within a specialist or inclusive setting.
    • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
    • Passion for inclusive education and supporting Deaf learners.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
