Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Essex
Salary: £65k + Bonus
Are you an Operations Manager based in Essex looking for your next opportunity? As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of fire and security projects and service contracts, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to the highest standard across a range of commercial, industrial, and residential sites. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage field-based engineers and subcontractors, ensuring effective scheduling, performance, and productivity across all contracts.
* Oversee the delivery of fire and security installations, maintenance, and service works, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact for operational matters and resolving issues promptly.
* Monitor and enforce compliance with health and safety legislation, company procedures, and industry standards across all sites.
* Manage resource planning, procurement, and stock control to support the efficient delivery of contracts.
* Produce and present regular operational reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Proven experience in an operations or management role within the fire and security industry.
* Strong technical knowledge of fire detection, intruder alarm, CCTV, or access control systems.
* Demonstrable experience managing teams of engineers and coordinating multiple contracts simultaneously.
* Full UK driving licence.
* FIA Level 4 qualification or equivalent industry qualification (desirable).
* SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely (desirable).
