About the role

HLTA – Strong Behaviour & SEN Experience

Location: Berkswell, solihull  Start: September

We’re looking for a resilient, confident HLTA who can support teaching and learning in a school where behaviour and SEN needs are present in every class. If you’re calm, consistent and thrive in classrooms that need structure and stability, this role will suit you perfectly.

The Role

  • Deliver planned lessons and interventions with confidence
  • Lead whole‑class learning when required
  • Support pupils with a wide range of SEN and SEMH needs
  • Use strong behaviour strategies to maintain a positive, safe environment
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCO and external agencies
  • Build trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency
  • Adapt support to meet EHCPs, SEMH needs and differentiated learning

About You

  • HLTA status or equivalent experience
  • Confident leading whole‑class learning
  • Strong behaviour management with a calm, steady approach
  • Experience supporting pupils with SEN, SEMH or additional needs
  • Skilled in de‑escalation, restorative approaches and positive reinforcement
  • Able to create a structured, predictable environment
  • A team player with excellent communication skills
