About the role

Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated EYFS Class Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Swadlincote. This exciting opportunity is available on a job share basis, working Tuesday to Friday (26 hours per week) from September.

This role would suit an inspirational teacher who is passionate about giving children the very best start to their educational journey and creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating Early Years environment.

About the Role

As the EYFS Class Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners. Working as part of a job share arrangement, you will collaborate closely with your teaching partner to ensure continuity, consistency, and excellent outcomes for pupils.

The school is seeking a teacher who understands the importance of early childhood development and can create an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to learn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons in line with the Early Years Framework.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes learning through play and exploration.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress to ensure all children achieve their potential.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with your job share partner to provide consistency across the week.
  • Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of child development and the EYFS curriculum.
  • Be passionate about providing outstanding learning opportunities for young children.
  • Have excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Be an effective communicator who works well as part of a team.
  • Be committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for every child.
