Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Supervisor  We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team on a major commercial construction project. The successful Mechanical Supervisor will oversee the installation of mechanical building services, ensuring works are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Mechanical Supervisor with a strong background in commercial M&E projects. Key Responsibilities • Supervise all mechanical installation works on a commercial construction project. • Lead and coordinate site operatives and mechanical subcontractors. • Ensure the Mechanical Supervisor maintains high standards of health and safety across all site activities. • Monitor progress and report programme updates to the Project Manager. • Review mechanical drawings and specifications to ensure installations comply with project requirements. • Carry out quality inspections and ensure all work meets industry standards. • Coordinate with electrical supervisors, site management, and other trades. • Plan labour, materials, and plant requirements to maintain project productivity. • Manage site documentation, inspections, and daily records. • Support commissioning, testing, snagging, and project handover activities. • Identify and resolve on-site technical and installation issues. • Ensure all mechanical works comply with current regulations and company procedures. Requirements • Previous experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on commercial construction projects. • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, pipework, and mechanical building services. • SSSTS or SMSTS certification. • Valid CSCS Supervisor Card. • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. • Strong understanding of health and safety legislation. • The ideal Mechanical Supervisor will be proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple work areas while maintaining quality and programme. • This Mechanical Supervisor role offers an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with future projects available for the right Mechanical Supervisor.
