Electrical Design Engineer - London

Electrical Design Engineer (Building Services)  North West London An established building services consultancy is looking to appoint an Electrical Design Engineer to join their team, based in North West London, with consideration given to candidates able to commute into the area. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated electrical engineer to work on a genuinely exciting and varied project portfolio, including work for the Ministry of Defence (MOD), alongside a wider range of commercial and institutional building services projects. The Role: • Producing electrical designs across a range of building services projects, including power, lighting, and life safety systems • Preparing detailed electrical designs, calculations, and specifications • Working closely with project managers, senior engineers, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification • Coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure fully integrated designs • Ensuring designs comply with current building regulations and industry standards, including any relevant security or MOD-specific requirements What's Required: • A degree in Electrical/Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) • Proven experience in an electrical building services design role • Strong working knowledge of relevant design software (e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Amtech/Trimble Designer) • Chartered status (or working towards, e.g. CIBSE/IET) would be an advantage • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities • Eligibility to obtain security clearance may be required for MOD-related projects What's on Offer: • Salary of £40,000–£55,000, dependent on experience • The chance to work on genuinely exciting and varied projects, including MOD work • A supportive team environment with genuine progression opportunities Based in North West London, this role would suit an electrical engineer looking to broaden their experience on high-profile, exciting projects within a firm that values technical excellence.
