Car Technician

Connect Appointments is recruiting a Car Technician to join a fast-growing, award-winning used car retail business based in Nelson.

Our client is a well-established used car retailer with a growing multi-site network and a strong reputation for quality and customer service – offering genuine career stability within an ambitious, expanding business.

What’s on offer?

• Full-time permanent position
• Working week of Monday to Friday
• £30,250 to £39,000 per annum – dependent on experience

As a Car Technician, your duties will include:

• Carrying out repairs, servicing and mechanical work from routine maintenance to complex repairs
• Diagnosing faults using advanced diagnostic tools and methods
• Conducting road tests and accurately reporting findings
• Logging job times, parts used and technician notes accurately
• Ensuring all work meets “right first time” standards and agreed service KPIs

To be considered as a Car Technician, you will need:

• A recognised qualification such as a Level 3 Diploma or City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• A full UK driving licence – preferably clean
• The ability to work confidently with diagnostic tools and a range of workshop equipment
