Location: Totton, Southampton

Salary: Up to £47,500 per annum

Hours: Full Time

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and experienced leader to take responsibility for managing a high-quality residential service and making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will provide strong leadership and management to a dedicated residential care team, ensuring the delivery of excellent childcare provision in line with the home’s Statement of Purpose.

You will be responsible for creating a safe, warm and stable environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and able to achieve positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading, supporting and motivating a residential care team to deliver the highest standards of care.
• Creating a positive, respectful and child-focused culture within the home.
• Building strong relationships with children, young people, families and external agencies.
• Understanding the individual needs of children and young people and ensuring staff support them to achieve positive outcomes.
• Managing workforce planning, including recruitment, inductions, supervisions and ongoing professional development.
• Ensuring effective rota management and maintaining a safe and consistent service.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
• Previous experience in a senior or management position within residential childcare.
• Passionate, confident and committed approach to supporting children and young people.
• Strong leadership, communication and relationship management skills.
• NVQ Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or currently working towards) or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence.
