Job Title: Fire Alarm Designer
Location: Surrey (Office Based)
Salary: £60,000
Are you a Fire Alarm Designer based in Surrey looking for your next opportunity? As a Fire Alarm Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed fire alarm system designs across a range of commercial, residential, and industrial projects, working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to deliver compliant and effective life safety solutions. You will be joining an established company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality fire and security solutions to its customers.
Responsibilities:
* Produce detailed fire alarm system designs, drawings, and schematics using CAD, Revit, or BIM software.
* Develop design documentation in accordance with BS 5839 and relevant British Standards.
* Collaborate with project managers and site engineers to ensure designs are delivered on time and to specification.
* Carry out design reviews and revisions in response to client and consultant feedback.
* Prepare and maintain accurate as-built drawings and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
* Liaise with clients, architects, and M&E consultants to coordinate fire alarm designs within wider building services packages.
Experience and Certifications required:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm design within the fire and security industry.
* Proficiency in CAD, Revit, or BIM software for the production of fire alarm drawings and documentation.
* Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 and fire alarm system design principles.
* Experience designing systems using equipment from leading manufacturers such as Advanced, Gent, Hochiki, or Notifier.
* FIA Certificate in Fire Detection and Alarm Systems (desirable).
* ECS Gold Card or relevant industry accreditation (desirable).
