Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Durham and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re considering a career in teaching, education or youth work, or already have experience working with young people, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a school setting.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

• Supervise pre-prepared lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
• Support students to complete work set by the class teacher
• Encourage pupils to remain engaged, focused and motivated
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff
• Follow school behaviour, safeguarding and school policies

No lesson planning or marking required! This role is a great way to gain classroom experience, develop your confidence and discover whether a career in education is right for you.

Cover Supervisor Requirements

• Relevant Degree-level qualification
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence working with young people
• Professional, reliable and positive attitude
• Previous school experience is beneficial but not essential
