About the role

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Hartlepool and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, dedicated, and qualified Primary Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

Whether you’re an experienced Primary Teacher, an Early Career Teacher (ECT), or an established classroom practitioner looking for your next opportunity, we’d love to hear from you. We have a range of long-term, full-time opportunities available across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

You’ll play a key role in delivering engaging and inspiring lessons, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential. Working alongside supportive school staff, you’ll help pupils develop academically, socially, and emotionally while fostering a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and varying abilities.
  • Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning.
  • Establish high expectations for behaviour and learning using effective classroom management strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEND staff, and senior leaders to support pupil achievement.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and support extracurricular activities where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records and complete planning and assessment in line with school policies.
  • Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK is essential.
  • Experience teaching within a UK Primary School is desirable.
  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the Primary National Curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire pupils of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
