The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for students with additional needs across the school day. You will help pupils manage routines, stay engaged in lessons, regulate behaviour, build confidence, and access learning more successfully, while working closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support progress.
The Candidate:
You are calm, observant, and able to build positive relationships through consistency and clear communication. You want practical secondary school experience, you can stay patient in a busy setting, and you are interested in how focused support helps young people with Autism, ADHD, and EBD feel more secure and make better progress.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Genuine interest in supporting pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Career Goals – A desire to pursue a career in educational or clinical psychology.

This “Good” secondary school in Wolverhampton offers the chance to build valuable SEN experience in a setting where consistency, structure, and purposeful support matter. You will work closely with staff in a role that gives you direct exposure to practical intervention, student mentoring, and the day-to-day strategies schools use to support pupils with additional needs.
