Salary: £39,680 – £46,944 per annum (including good attendance allowance and up to 3 sleep-ins per month)

About the Role

Joneshouse Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced and compassionate Team Leader to join a children’s residential home in Hinckley.

This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs. As a Team Leader, you’ll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and supportive home environment while helping young people develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive.

Working alongside the Registered and Deputy Managers, you’ll provide day-to-day leadership to the staff team, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance are maintained at all times.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
• Provide guidance, mentoring and support to Residential Support Workers.
• Act as a positive role model for both staff and young people.
• Ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and record keeping.
• Support care planning and the achievement of positive outcomes for young people.
• Build trusting, positive relationships with children and young people.
• Deputise for the Deputy or Registered Manager when required.
• Promote a therapeutic, nurturing and child-centred culture within the home.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential).
• Previous experience working within a children’s residential setting.
• Experience leading shifts or supervising staff.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A compassionate, resilient and positive approach.
• The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging situations.
• A full UK driving licence held for a minimum of 12 months.

Salary & Benefits

Our client offers an excellent rewards package, including:

• Basic salary of £35,400 – £42,664
• Attendance Allowance of up to £1,400 per year
• Up to 3 sleep-ins per month, paid at £80 per sleep (approximately £2,880 annually)
• Total earnings of £39,680 – £46,944 per annum
