About the role

Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in Sutton Coldfield, the school are looking for a Food Technology teacher to start in Sept 2026. This will be to teach across KS3 – KS5, the position will be full time and will continue for one term.

The school offers fantastic indoor and outdoor facilities and has a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic team of staff, who work hard to ensure the pupils receive a high standard of teaching and support to excel in the future.

The school also offers state of the art facilities to allow for creative and inventive lessons to be conducted daily.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of Food Technology and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS5
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students

Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
