Job Title: Financial Reporting Manager Location: London, Hybrid Working Day Rate: £500 - £550 per day (inside scope) Duration: 6 month contract initiallyMy client is looking to appoint an experienced Financial Reporting Manager to join a high-profile finance team supporting one of the UK's largest and most complex infrastructure programmes.This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant with proven IFRS reporting experience to take ownership of financial reporting, lead month end reporting activities, and play a key role in maintaining a robust financial control environment. You will work closely with senior finance leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring accurate financial reporting while supporting strategic decision making across the organisation.Strong IFRS reporting experience is essential for this role.Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of monthly IFRS financial reporting, ensuring accurate, timely and high-quality outputs.Manage the month end reporting process, ensuring financial information complies with IFRS accounting policies and internal reporting requirementsSupport the preparation of consolidated financial reporting and statutory reporting activitiesLead and coordinate the external audit process, acting as the key finance contact and ensuring audit requirements are delivered efficientlyDevelop, implement and continuously improve financial reporting processes, accounting policies and internal controlsProvide technical accounting guidance on IFRS matters and ensure consistent application across the businessProduce financial analysis and commentary, providing meaningful insight to support senior leadership decision makingPartner with finance, legal, commercial, project controls, HR and operational teams to ensure robust financial governanceSupport finance transformation and wider business change initiatives, including regulatory and process improvement projectsDeliver detailed financial analysis and ad hoc reporting to support commercial and strategic decisionsLine manage and develop two finance professionals, supporting their performance and development.
Candidate Profile
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with approximately 4 to 5 years' post-qualified experience.Strong technical accounting knowledge with extensive experience of IFRS financial reporting.Proven experience managing month end reporting, financial consolidations and external audits.Experience preparing financial statements within a complex corporate environment.Strong understanding of financial governance, controls and reporting processes.Advanced Excel skills with strong Microsoft Office capability.Experience of SAP S/4HANA and Anaplan would be advantageous.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate findings clearly.Strong stakeholder management skills with experience working across multiple business functions.Previous experience leading or developing finance team members.Experience within infrastructure, energy, construction or other large project environments would be beneficial.
