Pink Tile Education is supporting secondary schools across Crawley with opportunities for enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Cover Supervisors to join their teams.
This is much more than simply supervising a classroom. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play an important role in supporting students’ learning, confidence, and day-to-day experience at school. You will help create a calm, positive, and focused environment where students can continue to learn and make progress, even when their usual teacher is absent.

The Role
As a Cover Supervisor, you will:
Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and ensure students remain engaged with their learning.
Build positive and respectful relationships with students.
Encourage students to work independently and take responsibility for their learning.
Create a calm, supportive, and purposeful classroom environment.
Provide encouragement and guidance where appropriate.
Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with school expectations.
Support students with questions and help them remain focused on the work provided.
Communicate with teaching staff regarding student engagement, progress, and any concerns.
Become a valued member of the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about supporting and encouraging young people.
Positive, approachable, and able to build strong relationships.
Calm, confident, and consistent when managing a classroom.
Reliable, adaptable, and willing to learn.
A strong communicator with good interpersonal skills.
Interested in developing their experience within education.
Previous experience working with children or young people is desirable but not essential.
Must hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.
