Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our outdoor spaces are maintained to the highest standard, contributing to the visual appeal and safety of our grounds. Your main duties will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, and maintaining flower beds and shrubs. You will also be tasked with litter picking, weed control, and general upkeep of pathways and recreational areas. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

To excel in this position, you should have previous experience in grounds maintenance or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of horticultural practices. Familiarity with the safe operation of landscaping equipment such as lawn mowers, strimmers, and blowers is essential. A valid driver's license is preferable, and any relevant certifications in landscaping or horticulture will be an advantage. As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will also need to be physically fit, as the role demands lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
