Overview
We are seeking a professional Class 1 and class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team for the afternoon shift. This role involves operating flatbed lorries to deliver goods efficiently and safely. The successful candidate will possess a strong driving background, experience with commercial vehicles, and a commitment to excellent service. Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 HGV, primarily flatbed lorries, during the afternoon shift
• Plan and execute delivery routes in accordance with schedules and traffic regulations
• Secure loads effectively on flatbeds to prevent movement during transit
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
• Complete all necessary documentation accurately, including delivery notes and logs
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism at all times
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery times and any issues encountered

Skills

• Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles
• Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for cargo securement
• Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
• Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS and route planning tools
• Good organisational skills to manage delivery schedules effectively
• Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks when required
• Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
