Registered Veterinary Nurse (Hospital)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy 24-hour veterinary hospital in Brighton. Our client is seeking a dedicated RVN to join their dynamic team.

The Role:

Our client is an RCVS-accredited hospital committed to providing the highest standard of care to its patients. This beautiful, purpose-built hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a wide range of high-tech equipment and a fully equipped in-house laboratory. They boast dedicated cat, dog, exotic, isolation, and day procedure wards, supported by a fantastic nurse and support team.

The team includes multiple certificate holders with a huge range of clinical interests and expertise, offering referral services for orthopaedics, ophthalmology, advanced imaging, and exotics. A full out-of-hours team works alongside the day team at the hospital, ensuring seamless handovers.

• 40 hours per week over 4 days

• 1:8 full weekends, with a day back in lieu the following week

• 1:14 weeks of 2nd on-call

• Dedicated in-house out-of-hours team for seamless handovers

The caseload is varied, encompassing both emergency and advanced medical cases referred from their five branch practices and local practices they support.

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be confident managing a wide range of medical and surgical cases. They will possess excellent nursing and communication skills, keen to help drive clinical standards while supporting the team. A genuine passion for animal welfare and delivering outstanding patient and client care is essential, alongside strong organisational and multitasking skills. The ability to remain calm under pressure, prioritise effectively in a busy hospital environment, and demonstrate excellent attention to detail are also key attributes.
