The Headteacher of an inclusive Primary School in Salford is looking for an empathetic, committed individual to join their team long-term. You will be focusing on children who require dedicated Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) support.

As a Long-Term SEND Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent, specialized 1:1 support for a specific child or small group (e.g., supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, or Speech & Language needs), ensuring they feel safe, secure, and ready to learn.

Job Description:
  • Help to support children on a strict 1:1 or small group basis.

  • Provide tailored emotional, social, and academic support.

  • Implementing specialized plans, using visual timetables or sensory breaks as required.

  • Working closely alongside primary teachers and the school SENCo.

  • Long-Term - Full Time.

  • Hours between 8:30 am and 15:30 pm, Monday - Friday.

Requirements:
  • Experience or strong knowledge working with children with SEND

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to get one)

  • Resilient, patient, and exceptionally strong work ethic

  • Able to adapt completely to the sensory and learning needs of a child

  • Flexible; adhere to the needs of the pupils in a professional and friendly manner.
