School Caretaker

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable School Caretaker to join our team, ensuring that our educational environment is safe, clean, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, hallways, and outdoor areas. Duties will involve cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, maintaining cleanliness in communal areas, and conducting regular safety inspections to identify and address any maintenance issues. In addition, the caretaker will assist with setting up and taking down equipment for school events and activities, ensuring that all spaces are prepared and ready for use.

The successful applicant will have a strong attention to detail and possess excellent organizational skills. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential. Candidates must be physically capable of carrying out manual tasks, including lifting and moving furniture, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance work. Familiarity with health and safety regulations is crucial to ensure compliance and the well-being of students and staff. The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, is essential, along with strong communication skills to liaise with teachers, staff, and contractors.
