ElectricianCaterpillar is recruiting qualified Electricians to join its manufacturing facility in Larne, supporting the assembly and wiring of generator sets, enclosures and associated power generation equipment. This is an opportunity to join a global engineering manufacturer, working within a skilled production environment on a four-day working week with competitive rates of pay and overtime available. Pay:Day Shift: £17.95 per hour Night Shift: £23.93 per hour Overtime (first 10 hours): £26.93 per hour Overtime (after 10 hours): £35.90 per hour Hours 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Thursday) Days:Monday: 07:00 - 17:15 Tuesday - Thursday: 07:00 - 16:45 Nights:Monday: 21:00 - 07:15 Tuesday - Thursday: 21:00 - 06:45 Candidates must be flexible to work both day and night shifts. Responsibilities:
Read and interpret electrical schematics and assembly drawingsWire and install electrical systems on generator sets and enclosuresCarry out electrical terminations and panel connectionsInstall cable trays, ladder racks and conduit systemsRoute and terminate cables using appropriate crimping techniquesUse a range of hand tools, power tools and electrical equipmentReport equipment faults where identifiedWork to Caterpillars quality, safety and 5S standards
Essential Requirements:
Completed electrical apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualificationExperience in electrical wiring, installation and terminationsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematicsHigh attention to detail and commitment to qualityWillingness to work overtime and rotating shifts
Desirable:
Experience within a manufacturing or lean environmentExperience working to defined production timesAbility to work at height and within enclosed work areasBasic computer literacy
