Are you an experienced Early Years Practitioner ready to step into leadership?
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and qualified Nursery Room Leader / Third in Charge to join the senior team at our beautiful, highly-regarded nursery in Forest Row.
This role is the perfect stepping stone for a Senior Practitioner or Room Leader looking to develop their management skills. You will enjoy the best of both worlds: leading a thriving room of your own while stepping up to support the wider nursery operations in the absence of the Manager and Deputy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead & Mentor: Oversee your designated room, mentor junior staff, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, creative EYFS activities.
Step Up to Lead: Act as the Third in Charge, assisting with daily operations, compliance, opening/closing duties, and taking charge of the nursery when required.
Parent Partnerships: Foster strong, collaborative, and trusting relationships with parents and carers.
Safety First: Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
What We Need From You (Requirements)
Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (NNEB, CACHE, NVQ, or equivalent).
Experience: Proven experience working as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner, or Nursery Nurse looking to step up.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum, child development, and safeguarding procedures.
Leadership: Strong communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a small team.
What We Offer
Competitive Pay: £30,000 - £32,000 per year with annual salary reviews.
